We are two friends (and a small team of Kenyan mamas) with a shared passion for food, fashion, and circularity. Kupika & Co. was born from the desire to combine our
creative talents (Betty a talented tailor, and Chloë a chef/sustainable food system entrepreneur) to bring style, impact, and creativity into our lives, communities, and kitchens.
Our aprons and kitchen accessories are made from 100% cotton Kitenge fabric, Kenyan Brass, and durable repurposed canvas sourced from local vendors here in Nairobi. We offer a variety of styles, prints and products to choose from, so you can find the perfect apron or accessory for yourself or to mix and match with your loved ones.
We hand-select patterns and design unique yet functional styles that make life more fun for everyone. Kupika in Kiswahili means to cook, and we hope that our products will inspire you to come together with those you love most to cook, connect, and enjoy life in style.
Betty
Born and raised in Kenya, Betty is a talented tailor and entrepreneur passionate about circularity in fashion and uplifting local communities. She truly believes that if you uplift one woman, you uplift entire communities.
Chloë
Chloë has spent her life moving and exploring the globe through the lens of food and culture, landing in Nairobi in late 2021. A chef, food education specialist and sustainable food system entrepreneur, she believes deeply in the importance of human sustainability, and hopes that Kupika & Co. can grow to uplift many, many local Kenyan crafts-mamas while highlighting their skills.
